Project Idea
Placing millions of pixels on the blockchain might sound like a crazy idea, especially considering the uncompressed image size that would require gigabytes of memory. However, if we manage to do it, it would become the largest image ever uploaded to the blockchain. I believe this concept is fascinating, and I invite you to participate in it.
I’ve already written the code for this project, and now all that’s left is to launch it. Unfortunately, I don’t have the necessary funds to proceed, so I’m reaching out for your assistance. If you’re willing to help, I’m prepared to share a portion of the profits with you.
How You Can Earn from This:
- Token Ownership: Only those who hold non-fungible tokens (NFTs) will have the right to upload images to the blockchain.
- Token Trading: You can sell your tokens to other users when their prices increase (which is likely, given our potential world record achievement).
- Real-World Placement: You can place pixels in the physical world and resell NFTs with a guarantee that the pixel will be physically displayed for a specified time or even permanently.
- Pixel Leasing: Pixels can be overwritten, allowing you to earn repeatedly by renting out your pixels to other users.
How You’ll Help Solve Challenges:
- Displaying Data: Displaying such a massive amount of data on a single website is challenging due to the enormous image size (e.g., 6400x6400 pixels or more).
- Blockchain Storage: Storing this much data on the blockchain is also complex.
- Memory Constraints: Keeping this data in memory is difficult, especially considering the gigabytes of data per user viewing the image.
- Network Transmission: Transmitting such a large amount of data over the network is also a challenge.
Advantages and Distinctions of Our Project:
- Pixel Links: Each pixel will have a link that allows users to visit the pixel owner’s website.
- Blockchain Storage: Pixels are stored on the blockchain, making them independent of centralized services.
- Rewritable Pixels: Pixels and their associated links can be rewritten, allowing new owners to modify them.
- Trading and Leasing: Pixels can be bought, sold, and leased, providing multiple earning opportunities.
- Real-World Placement: Physical placement of pixels allows real-life earnings.
- Historical Significance: As the first buyer, you’ll forever be part of the project’s history.
Action Plan:
- Start with 10,000 segments, each containing 256 pixels, forming Canvas Tier 1 (representing a quarter of the central canvas).
- Increase the segments to 20,000 and add Canvas Tier 2 (half of the central canvas).
- Expand to 40,000 segments, including Canvas Tiers 3 and 4 (the central canvas).
- Further increase to 160,000 segments, covering Canvas Tiers 5-16 (surrounding areas).
- At this point, we’ll have 40.96 million pixels, creating the world’s largest blockchain-uploaded image.
- If needed, expand to 360,000 segments with Canvas Tiers 17-36.
- Segment prices will be market-driven, influenced by location (central pixels being the most valuable).
I promise that if this project allows me to break free from traditional employment, I’ll continue developing and improving it.
As I lack sufficient funds, minting NFTs and creating blockchain storage accounts are costly for me. Hence, I kindly ask for your assistance. If you’re willing to help, please reach out to me on Telegram channel.
FAQ
-
Why an Uncompressed Image?: Compressed images risk loss during blockchain upload, and lossless compression doesn’t guarantee compression if someone wants to upload white noise. Uncompressed images also avoid compression and decompression costs, saving time and money. An unexpected benefit is independence from third-party compression standards—just raw bytes representing red, green, and blue intensities.
-
Why Can’t I Do It Myself?: Unfortunately, I lack the necessary funds to cover the costs. While I can write the code, I need someone to execute it and provide financial and organizational support.
-
Why Divide the Canvas into Segments?: Segmenting allows individual sales, increases project participation, and expands the image size.
-
Why Different Segment Prices?: Prices depend on segment location (central segments being more valuable) and size, considering how many segments are already sold.
